On February 22, 2010 there at the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place the presentation of the first three books of the first complete 7-volume collection of works of Alikhan Nurmukhameduly Bukeikhan. The I, II and III volumes of the present collection were published at the end of the last year in “Sary-Arka” Publishing house in Astana city.
There into the three first volumes were included the articles, notes, letters, literary translations, scientific essays and monographs in Kazakh and Russian published from 1889 to 1913, many of which were previously unknown to the wide public and the researchers. The remaining 4 volumes of the present collection will be published in 2010.
The collection was compiled by Sultankhan Akkululy, the researcher of the life and activity of A.N.Bukeikhan. He is also the compiler of the first collection “A.N.Bukeikhan. The selected works”, published in 1995 by Kazakh encyclopedia. A.N.Bukeikhan is a prominent scientist, publicist and political figure – leader of the national movement of the Kazakhs at the beginning of the 20-th century, chairman of the national-territorial autonomy Alash-Orda. There at the presentation were present the well-known public figures, scientists, descendants of A.N.Bukeikhan, O.Zhandosov, N.Nurmakov and many others.
