The head of the Editorial-translation department of the National library of the RK Abdirasilkyzy Ainur participated in the International symposium (Istanbul city, Turkey), dedicated to the memory of the great thinker, the founder of the Turkic Sufi poetry Khodja Akhmed Yassaui.

The symposium was organized with the support of the akimat of the Bagzhilar disctrict of Istanbul city. There in the work of the symposium participated the well-known Yassaui studies’ specialists from different countries of the world, representatives of the religious organizations and charity foundations. 

The Yassaui studies’ specialist, candidate of science (philology) Abdirasilkyzy Ainurmade the report named “The Yassaui studies in Kazakhstan: problems and prospects” in the Kazakh and Turkish languages. The monograph of the author “The poetical world of Khodja Akhmed Yassaui” (Almaty, “KIE”, 2007) received the enthusiastic acclaim of the prominent Yassaui studies’ specialists. 

In the course of the symposium there were made about 30 reports. There was presented to the participants a documentary film about the Sufi poet Khodja Akhmed Yassaui and a concert programme prepared by the students of the International Kazakh-Turkish University after Kh.A.Yassaui.
