On July 9, 2010 the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the TURKSOI made a presentation of the book by Kunimzhan Baikadamova named “The Baikadamovs family”.

   The author professor Kunimzhan Baikadamova tells in her book about the tragic fate of her father – the Alash movement member Baikadam Karaldin who was repressed during the years of the Stalinist regime. Into the basis of the book the author included the materials that saw the light in the years of independence, the recollections about her father, the sisters Danabike, Aisulu, the brother Bakhytzhan, the genealogy of the Baikadamovs family who made an invaluable contribution into the gaining of national independence by the Kazakhs and the development of the Kazakh national art.

   There in the presentation participated the author of the book professor K.Baikadamova, the Chairman of the TURKSOI  D.K.Kaseinov, the winner of the state prize, theatre studies specialist A.Sygai, the director of the Central museum N.Alimbai, the well-known writer S.Asipov and the descendants of Baikadam Karaldin
