On September 17 there at the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan there was organized the book-illustrative exhibition for the 75-th jubilee of the Writers’ Union named “75 years – to the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan”.

The Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan has gone a complicated, 75-year way. There in its history was reflected the history of the country: the way of development with successes and misfortunes, with tragic and heroic pages.

The exhibition consists of ten sections: 

The first section of the exhibition – “The history of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan”.

There is presented literature on the history of creation of the Union, embracing two periods – from 1934 to the gaining of independence by the republic and from 1991 up to the present time.

In 1934 at the first congress of the writers of Kazakhstan there was created the Union. There in the work of the congress participated the classics of Kazakh literature – Iliyas Djansugurov, Beimbet Mailin, Sabit Mukanov, Mukhtar Auezov, Gabit Musrepov, Gabiden Mustafin.

The second section of the exhibition – “Arystar men Alyptar”.

Here are presented the books on the creative activity of the classics of Kazakh literature Abai Kunanbayev, Zhambyl Zhabayev, Akhmet Baitursynov, Myrzhakyp Dulatov, Magzhan Zhumabayev, Zhusupbek Aimautov, Shakarim Kudaiberdiyev, Saken Seifullin, Iliyas Djansugurov and Beimbet Mailin.

The third section of the exhibition – “Then Chairmen of the Board of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan”.

The fourth section of the exhibition – “The People’s Writers of Kazakhstan”.

The fifth section of the exhibition – “The verses of the well-known poets”.

In the sixth section of the exhibition – “Literature – the soul of the people” is presented literature on the creative activity of the Kazakhstani prosaic writers.

The seventh section of the exhibition – “The literary criticism”.

The eighth section of the exhibition – “World literature in the Kazakh language”.

There is presented literature published by the “Cultural heritage” State programme.

The ninth section of the exhibition – under the title “The publications of the Union” there are exhibited the first and jubilee editions of the newspaper “Kazak adebiety”, the magazines “Zhuldyz” and “Prostor”.

The tenth section of the exhibition – “The Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan and the National library of the RK”.

It is presented by the bibliographical indices of different years published by the NLRK on the occasion of the jubilees of the Kazakhstani writers and also by the materials of the joint activities held.
