On March 4, 2011 on the eve of the International women’s day there opened at the National library of the Republic Kazakhstan the book-illustrative exhibition named “The Women of Independent Kazakhstan”. 

   The exhibition consists of three parts. The first part “The business women of Kazakhstan” is represented by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the state guarantees of equal rights and equal possibilities of men and women”, materials and documents of the gender policy of Kazakhstan “The gender researches in Kazakhstan”, “The gender researches, the gender policy and women’s movement in the countries of Central Asia: an attempt for diagnosis”, “The gender aspects of entrepreneur development in Kazakhstan”, “The business women of Kazakhstan” and others.

   The second part “Ana ghumyr” is represented by the dedications of the Kazakhstani writers, poets, prominent figures to the woman-mother. Among which there are the selected dramatic works of the well-known writer and playwright Takhaui Akhtanov, the collection of short novels “Muzei apa” by the heroic son of the Kazakh people Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, the works of the people’s writer Azilkhan Nurshayikhov and many others.

   The third part “The stars of Kazakhstani art” includes the materials about the people’s artist of the Soviet Union, the nightingale of the Kazakh people Kulyash Baiseyitova, “Khalyk Kaharmany” of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roza Baglanova, the people’s artist of the USSR Bibigul Tulegenova, the people’s artists Shara Zhienkulova, Amina Omirzakova and others.
