There for the Holiday of unity of the peoples of Kazakhstan the National library opens up the large-scale book-illustrative exhibition “Kazakhstan – our common home” (Kazakstan – bizdin ortak yuimiz). The exhibition is organized within the framework of the cycle of activities “Independent Kazakhstan: 20 years of peace, agreement and creativity”. (“Tauyelsiz Kazakstan: Beibitshiliktin, Kelisimnin zhane Zhasampazdyktyn 20 zhyly”).

   There at the exhibition are presented approximately 1 000 editions in the Kazakh, Russian, English and other languages, the materials reflecting the originality of the spiritual and socio-cultural life of the peoples of Kazakhstan, there is narrated about the contribution of each ethos into the common treasury of human civilization.

   The exhibition begins with the part where there are presented the books, albums about Kazakhstan, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan about the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, the Decree of the President of the republic of Kazakhstan, about the strategy of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and the Provision about the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan that guarantees the comprehensive development of all nations and citizens, the creation of equal and adequate conditions for life and work. There are vividly presented the materials on the activity of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, the Lesser assembly headed by the akims of the regions, the materials of the Almaty city Assembly of the peoples of Kazakhstan, the World Association of the Kazakhs etc.

   Each part of the exhibition reflects the history, traditions, customs of the Kazakh, Russian, Ukrainian, Korean, German, Uigur and other peoples living on the territory of the republic of Kazakhstan.

   One can understand through this exhibition all the uniqueness of each people separately and of the whole Kazakhstani society on the whole, preserving the placers of traditions of culture of different peoples who emigrated to Kazakhstan in different times and who found here their second Motherland.
