On July 1, 2011 there at the National library of the Republic Kazakhstan within the framework of the 20-th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan took place the solemn opening of the big book-illustrative exhibition named “Astana – Otanymyzdyn zhuregi” dedicated to the Day of Astana.         The activity is organized together with the Akimat of Almaty city. There at the exhibition are presented more than 2000 books in the Kazakh and Russian languages dedicated to the past, present and future of the main city of the country – Astana which is the symbol of independence.

   There within the framework of the exhibition with the support of the Press-service of the President of the RK is presented the photographic exhibition of Joseph Budnevich, the first personal photographer of the President of the RK, named “Kazakhstan through the eyes of the Master” (approximately 70 works).

    Also there took place the panel of the women-leaders of Almaty named “The role of women in the establishment and development of independent Kazakhstan” organized together with the Akimat of Almaty city and the Association of business women.

   The prominent 20 years of independence of Kazakhstan full of important business accomplishments and events played the key role in the formation of the woman-leader in the national economy, politics, business and culture. The necessity  to understand the experience and role of woman in the strengthening of our statehood during the 20 years of Independence and her active participation in the life of Kazakhstani society was the reason for the carrying out of this panel.

    The moderator of the panel was Akhmetova G.K., professor, Deputy Chairman of the Commission of women’s affairs and family-demographic policy of the Akim of Almaty city.

    There at the panel made speeches the well-known women of Kazakhstan: Amanzholova Z.Zh., the akim of the Bostandyk district of Almaty city; Romanovskaya S.U., deputy of the maslikhat, president of the National League of consumers of the RK; Djanseyitova G.A., Chairman of the Association of Business Women of Almaty city, deputy Chairman of the Green Party “Rukhaniyat”, director of the Centre of Aethetical medicine “Nissamed”; Kuanyshbekova R.T., director of the Centre of perinatology and children’s cardiac surgery and other prominent women of Almaty.
