There at the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 6, 2011 is held the Day of open doors timed to the Day of cultural heritage within the framework of “20 stellar days – 20 summits of independence”.

   The purpose of the Day of open doors is to be conducive to the spiritual and cultural development of society, the propagation of book reading, to attract youth to reading, to raise the role of libraries in the public life and acquaintance with the rich fond of the National library of the RK.

   There to the readers’ attention will be presented the book-illustrative exhibitions by different themes – “Independent Kazakhstan: 20 years of peace, concordance and creativity”, “The First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “Kazakhstan – our common house”, “The trip to the world of art”, the exhibitions dedicated to the jubilees: the centenary of the writer Kasym Amanzholov, the 80-th birthday of the historian Manash Kozybayev, the 90-th anniversary of the people’s writer of Kazakhstan, poetess Tursynkhan Abdrakhmanova etc.

  There will also be organized free excursions and consultations.
