On April 13, 2012 the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was visited by the brigade-general Mr. Abid Mumtaz, the military attache of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

  The visit was aimed at becoming acquainted with the activity of the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Pakistani cultural center which was opened in 2007 at the National library of the RK with the assistance of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

   The Center is situated on the 3-rd floor in the hall of world literature. There for the readers is presented literature on the culture, history, economy and modern policy of Pakistan which is periodically renewed by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
