On April 25 there in the foyer at the National library of the RK is opened the book-illustrative exhibition “Kazakhstan khalyktarynyn byrligy” dedicated to May 1 – the Holiday of unity of the peoples of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan is a polyethnic state. There in the republic live representatives of almosr 140 ethnic groups. The last decade in Kazakhstan is marked by the revival of national cultures, heightening of national self-consciousness and self-identification of the ethnic groups. And at the same time each nationality has its unique spitirual and material culture, its history, traditions and customs. Kazakhstan cherishes inter-national concord, stability, there is implemented a policy of further consolidation of society. There was created in the republic and successfully functions the Assembly of the peoples of Kazakhstan, whose goal is to strengthen the unity of Kazakhstani society, assist the national traditions, language and applied arts.
There at the exhibition are presented approximately 1000 editions in the Kazakh, Russian, English and other languages dedicated to the unity and concord of the peoples of Kazakhstan, their uniqueness in the spiritual and socio-cultural life.
There are also presented books and albums about Kazakhstan, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the strategy and the Statutes of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan that guarantees the multilateral development of all nations and citizens, the creation of equal and deserving conditions for the life and activity. There are widely represented materials on the activity of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, the Lesser assembly and the World Association of Kazakhs.
Each section of the exhibition presents the history, national traditions and customs, literature and art of the Russians, Ukraines, Germans, Koreans, Uigurs, Turks and other peoples of Kazakhstan.
