There in the exhibition hall of the National library of the RK opened the book exhibition named “Azaly tarikhka airyksha tagzym” dedicated to the Memory day of the victims of the  political repressions.

    There in Kazakhstan is annually marked the Memory day of the victims of the political repressions, established by the Decree of the President of the RK in 1997.

    This year commemorates the 75 years from the beginning of the political repressions and the 80 years from the beginning of the mass famine in our country. There on the territory of the former concentration camps GULAG, KARLAG, ALZHIR are acting the monumental memorial complexes, there in the regions of the republic are opened the museums of memory of victims of the political repressions. All this helps us to understand the cruel lessons of the past and obliges us to do our best in order not to let such tragedies happen again in the modern and future history of mankind.

    There at the book exhibition are presented materials from the fonds of the National library of the RK about the victims of the political represions, about the activity of museums and archives.
