There in the Department of periodical editions is opened the exhibition dedicated to the 90-th anniversary of the newspaper “Kostanai tany”.  

   The Kostanai regional public-political newspaper “Kostanai tany” is published from June 25, 1922. It was founded as the organ of the Kustanai regional committee of the Russian Communist Party (Bolshevists). The original name of the newspaper was “Auyl”.

   The founder and editor of the newspaper was the first Kazakh-journalist Mukhametzhan Seralin, the person responsible for the issue of the newspaper – the classic of Kazakh literature Beimbet Mailin. In different years the newspaper was published u8nder the following names: “Sotsialdy auyl”(1931-1936), “Bolsheviktyk zhol”(1936-1953), “Kommunizm zholy”(1953-1963), “Kommunizm tany”(1963-1991).

    From 1991 mthe newspaper was published under the  name “Kostanai tany”. The newspaper is published three times a week with the support of the Kostanai regional akimat.

    The chief editor of the newspaper is Zhaibergen Bolatov.

    In these years there upon the pages of the newspaper was widely highlighted the history, culture, literature and art of the virgin plough land region. Considerable is the role of the newspaper for the readers of the region in the propagation of the social-economic and legal reforms that were taking place in Kazakhstan.
