The international literary forum “Мukhtar Auezov is the view  into the new millennium,”  devoted to 115-th birthday of the classic of Kazakh literature, the founder of Аbai-study, a prominent scientist, writer  and  pedagogue took place in the National library of  the Republic of Kazakhstan on September 21,  2012 at 10:00.

  The organizers:  the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Institute of Literature and Art after M.O.Auezov,  Public foundation  “The Foundation of Mukhtar Auezov”.

  The moderators of the forum were the well-known writer, public man Elubay Smagul  Abatovich and the well-known poet, choreograph-librettist,  a scenario writer Dyusenbek Nakipov.

  The purpose of the forum is the celebration of the 115-th birthday of the classic of Kazakh literature, the founder  of  Abai-study, the prominent scientist, writer and pedagogue Mukhtar Omarkhanovich  Auezov.  In the light  of the  creative activity of  M.O.Auezov  we  present to the whole world the new image and spiritual striving of  modern Kazakhstan.

  The book-illustrative exhibition was organized about the life and creative activity of  M.O.Auezov within the framework of the forum.

  The director of the Institute of Literature and Art after M.Auezov U.Kalizhan  made a speech widely disclosing the literary legacy of Mukhtar Auezov.

  The Consul of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan, Mrs. I.Pereverzeva, the President of the Public Foundation “The foundation of Mukhtar Auezov” Murat Auezov, the Director  of the Literary-memorial Auezov House  D. Konaev, the well-known  public маn G.Shalakhmetov,  poet B.Kanapyanov, specialists in study of Literature S.Ananyaeva and  U.Tazhikenova,  member of Journalists’ Union G.Tashimbai, Director of State Children’s  library after S.Begalin S.Raeva, school librarians from the Almaty,  Akmola,  Zhambul,  Atyrau,  Aktobe,  West-Kazakhstani, East–Kazakhstani, North-Kazakhstani Regions and  representatives  of  Mass-media were present at  the  forum and  made  speeches.

  The International  action “We read Mukhtar Auezov” started  at the literary forum among the Kazakhstani and foreign libraries, held by the National  library of the Republic of  Kazakhstan together with the Institute of Literature and Art after M.O.Auezov,  Public foundation “The Foundation of  Mukhtar  Auezov.”  The action  will  last from  September 21, 2012  till  September 28, 2013.

  The  purpose  of the International action is to attract the attention of  readers  from different countries of  the world to the creative legacy of  Mukhtar Auezov, broaden their knowledge about the life and literary activity of  the writer.
