On February 2, 2012 there at the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place the exhibition of the books and posters “Modern Iran” organized by the Cultural representation of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan in honour of the celebration of the 34-th anniversary of the Victory of Islamic revolution and Independence of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

   There at the exhibition are presented more than 200 books on the history, culture, philosophy and literature of Iran, on the issues of religion and country-study of Iran, more than 30 posters about modern Iran, narrating about the achievements of the country in the sphere of science, technologies, medicine and military building, and also multiple photodocuments about the events of the Islamic Revolution. Among the exhibits there are also presented books on the researches of the works of al-Farabi, the immortal works “Shakhname” of Firdousi and “Gulistan” of Saadi, the historical books “Tarikhi Rashidi” of Makhammad Khaidar Dulati and “Tarikh al-Djalairi” of Shirin Baioni, and also the 16 volumes of the Great Islamic encyclopaedia and the 13 volumes of the encyclopaedia of Islamic World.

   There at the ceremony of the exhibition opening participated: Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr.Seifi, scientific figures of Kazakhstan, scientists on Iranian studies, students from institutes and readers of the National library of the RK.

   The exhibition operates in the exhibition hall of the National library of the RK from 02.02.2012 till 16.02.2012.
