On December12, 2012 at 10:00 there at the National library of the RK the Committee of information and archives of the Ministry of culture and information of the RK, the National book chamber of the RK, the Association of publishers and book distributors of Kazakhstan solemnly opened the book exhibition named “The role of Book in the chronicles of Independent Kazakhstan” dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

   There at the exhibition are presented the Kazakhstani books published in 2012 by the State programme “The publication of socially significant kinds of literature” and the books of the leading publishing-houses of Almaty city.

   The main purpose and task of the book exhibition is providing information about the books published by the State programme “The publication of socially significant kinds of literature” and the creation of platforms  for communication between authors, readers and publishers.

   Within the framework of the exhibition there took place the meeting with the well-known writers-poets: Tumenbai Kuandyk, Amantai Akhetov, Maraltai Raiymbekuly, Almat Isadil and others. There also took place the literary readings from the works of the above-mentioned writers and poets, prepared by the pupils of the secondary school #13 after M.Makatayev of the Ili district of the Almaty region, the pupils of the schools-gimnasiums #161, #159, #13, #16, #12 of Almaty city.

    There at the activity were present: Deputy Chairman of the Committee of information and archives of the Ministry of culture and information of the RK Kuat Borashev;  Head of department of publishing programmes of the Committee of information and archives of the Ministry of culture and information of the RK Nurasyl Togyzbayev;  Members of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan; The leading publishing-houses of Kazakhstan: “Almaty kitap”, “Kazygurt”, “Sanat”, “Kazak encyclopaediyasy”, “Raritet”, “Mektep”, “Atamura”, “Oner”, “Shyn-kitap”, “Bayanzhurek”, “Ekonomika”, “Kainar”,  The state children’s library after S.Begalin, Students from the higher educational establishements and Pupils of the school-gimnasium of Almaty city.

    There within the framework of the activity took place the charity action of donating books to the libraries and school-gimnasiums of Almaty city.

    The publishing-houses organized the selling of the book production of their own publishing –houses.
