On March 26, 2013 at 15:00 hours on the eve of the International theatre day there in the Exhibition hall took place the memory evening dedicated to the people’s artist of Kazakhstan Serke Kozhamkulov. There within the framework of the evening was presented the book “Sheberlik shyny” – “The summit of mastery”.

   The moderator of the evening was the honored figure of arts of the RK, theatrical critic, professor Ashirbek Sygai.  

   Seraly (Serke) Kozhamkulov (1896-1979) is the Kazakh actor of theatre and cinema, the people’s artist of the Kazakh SSR, the Hero of Socialist Labour. 

   He was born on May 5, 1896 in the Turgai region. He is one of the first Kazakh professional actors from 1925 he worked as actor and producer at the Kazakh state academic theatre of drama after M.O.Auezov (Alma-Ata). The actor created a gallery of wonderful images in the plays by the works of the classics of world, Russian and Kazakh dramaturgy. He played his roles with striking ease without breaking the harmony of voice and manner of scenic behavior. He was lucky especially with the comical roles – that of Maibasar in “Abai” by Auezov, Tymak-bai in “Amangeldy” by Musrepov, Slai, Pedant in “The taming of the shrew” by Shakespeare, Yayishnitsa and Zemlyanika in “Revizor” by Gogol. In the 30-s and 40-s S.Kozhamkulov began being shot in the films, thus making his contribution in the development of national cinematography. For the high level of creative professionalism and hard labour S.Kozhamkulov was many times awarded with the State prizes of the USSR and Kazakh SSR, government orders and medals. 

   There within the framework of the activity was organized the book-illustrative exhibition about the life and creative activity of Seraly Kozhamkulov named “The summit of mastery”.

   The book-album “Sheberlik shyny” – “The summit of mastery” devoted to the creative activity of S.Kozhamkulov consists of four parts where there are given the recollections of the contemporaries, photographs, articles and archival documents from the life and about creative activity of the actor.

   There at the evening was demonstrated the documentary film “The whole of his life” about S.Kozhamkulov.

   There within the framework of the activity spoke the daughter of the artist Renata Seraliyevna and Maryam Seraliyevna, and also the students of the musical college after P.Chaikovskiy and the ensemble of fiddlers.
