There in “Kazakhstan kitaptary” department within the framework of the International action “We read Mukhtar Auezov” dedicated to the 115-th birthday of the classic of Kazakh literature Mukhtar Omarkhanovich Auezov is organized the book exhibition named “Korgansyzdyn kyuni – M.Auezov shygarmashylygynyn bastauy”

   The first work of fiction in the creative activity of Mukhtar Auezov was the story “Korgansyzdyn kyuni” when translated into the Russian language means “The orphan’s fate” (according to another translation means “The fate of the defenceless”). This work was written in 1921 and was published for the first time in the 3-4 numbers of the magazine “Kyzyl Kazakstan” entitled “Argyn”. In 1922 it was published in Orenburg city as a separate book entitled “The orphan’s fate”.

   The story “The orphan’s fate” by M.Auezov is the beginning in the development of the realistic mastery of the psychological prose. This is a tragic story which happened one night in a forlorn house. The tragedy of man is disclosed in many social links with the surrounding world through the unusually laconic means: through the monologue of the old woman and the author’s description of the landscape, thus . Because of him there suffer her grandmother and mother. Poverty and pride of this family, grief and pains and not a drop of joy – the author narrates about this. In this short story M.Auezov is not only one who blames the dark low sides of the past, but he is a deep humanist who asserts that attempts at the honour and happiness of man is equal to an attempt for his life, that humiliation of personality is the greatest evil. An ordinary event for the Kazakh aul of those times he managed to lift to the level of all-human problem. Already in ttransmitting the dramatic picture of the poor people’s life. The heroine of the story Gaziza dies from the cruel violence of the volost ruler Akhanhe first stories of the writer one can see the talent of the writer. This small story by its penetrating power and strong feelings and by the problematics raised acquires the all-human quality.

    There at the book exhibition are presented the books from the fond of the National library of the RK, articles and literary critics about the first work of the great Kazakh writer Mukhtar Auezov “The orphan’s fate”, and also other works that include this story: the collection of works of the author (1955, 1957, 1973), the collection of stories “Karash-Karash” (1960), “The steepness” (1965), “Kinamshil boizhetken” (1994), “Korgansyzdyn kyuni” (2002), “Mukhtar Auezovtyn encyclopaediasy” (2011) and others.
