On October 3, 2013 at 15:00 there in the foyer of the National library within the framework of the cross cultural seasons of France and Kazakhstan 2013/2014 will take place the presentation of the book by A.S.Exupery “Le Petit Prince” in the Kazakh language.

The book “Le Petit Prince” is a masterpiece of the world children’s literature, the allegorical fairy-tale, the best-known work of the French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery. This year marks the 70 years from the date of publication of the book. This is the story about love, friendship, duty, fidelity and non-tolerance towards evil, about the Little Prince who lived on the asteroid B-612 the size of a house, which makes each heart tremble of a person who will read this book. The unique illustrations in “Le Petit Prince” demolish the lingual barriers and become part of the universal visual lexicon understandable to everyone. From the original language to the Kazakh language the book was translated by Zhanar Konayeva, the specialist of the French language at the Embassy of France in the RK.
   There within the framework of the presentation will take place the press-conference in which there will participate the General Consul of France in Almaty Patrick Renaire, president of “Atamura” corporation Rakhymgali Kul-Mukhammed, Director-General of the National library of the RK Gulissa Balabekova, director of the French Alliance Almaty Pascal Vitorge and the author of the translation, specialist of the French language with the translation work experience at the Embassy of France in the RK Zhanar Konayeva.
   During the activity there will take place the ceremony of awarding the winners of the competition of children’s drawings named “The world of the little prince” announced by the French Alliance Almaty. There will be presented an exhibition of children’s drawings, a theatrical performance, victorina and games.
   There in the foyer is organized a wide-scale exhibition of French literature from the fond of the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan which includes a separate division of other works by A.S.Exupery.
   The participants of the activity: The general consulate of France in Almaty,  the French Alliance Almaty, “Atamura” corporation, the libraries of Almaty, public figures, art experts, publishers, pupils and students of higher educational establishments of Almaty city and mass-media.
