On November 19, 2013 the National library of the RK with the working visit was visited by Brigadier-General, Defence Attache of the Embassy of Pakistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan Shahid Jawad Khan.

   There within the framework of the meeting was carried out an excursion around the library.
   The Defence Attache became acquainted with the activity of the National library of the RK, the Book Corner of Pakistan, the rarities of the fond of rare books and manuscripts, the thematic book exhibitions organized in the departments, the Centre for documents’ digitization.
In the course of the visit there took place the negotiations, where there were raised the issues of the cultural-humanitarian sphere of cooperation, the development in the activity of the Book Corner of Pakistan.
   There were considered the suggestions for the organization of joint activities directed at the strengthening and development of the library relations between the two states.
   Shahid Jawad Khan noted the innovational approach in the activity of the National library of the RK, the readers’ servicing, the wealth of the book collections and the harmonious work of the collective of the library.
