On June 30, 2014 at 15:00 hours there in the Exhibitions’ hall took place the presentation of the three-volume book named “Independent Kazakhstan: the anthology of modern literature” timed to the Day of Astana.

   The publication is prepared with the participation of the Writers’ union of Kazakhstan (the chairman Nurlan Orazalin), “The union of literary translators - Tarzhiman” (the chairman Kairat Bakbergenov), the Foundation after Nemat Kelimbetov, the well-known writer, scientist-Turkologist and the Writers’ union of Russia (the chairman of the board – Valery Ganichev) and was published at the beginning of the current year in Moscow by the publishing house “Khudozhestvennaya literatura”. The head of the International publishing project – Kairat Kelimbetov, compilers: Raikhan Mazhenkyzy, Georgiy Pryakhin, artist Zhenis Kakenuly.
   The first volume of the anthology, embracing the period of independent Kazakhstan named  “The dombra and the cradle” is wholly dedicated to children’s literature. Here all the fairy-tales, puzzles, short stories, tales and to cut a long story short all the genre variety is aimed at one purpose – for the good, love, compassion, attention to the people, the native nature. The authors of different ethnoses of Kazakhstan are united by the sincere and careful attitude to their young heroes and readers.
   There into the second volume of the anthology “The wormwood star of my steppes” entered the works of more than forty most well-known Kazakhstani writers. Their tales, short stories, essays written in the last decades acquaint the readers with the history, culture, rites and traditions of multinational Kazakhstan, at the same time disclosing the eternal problems of human existence, in which there is always love and suffering, wisdom and heroism, fidelity and treason and the good carries eternal fight with evil.
   The third volume “The milestones of celestial roads” is wholly dedicated to poetry. There are presented in the volume the works of almost eighty poets of the independent country. Among them not only the Kazakhs but also the representatives of other nationalities who populated the country from olden times which had become for them the Motherland. Here we can meet the patriarchs as well as young poets. The beauty of the wonderful nature, love and friendship, joy and grief – the eternal themes of eternal poetry are reflected in the collection. Many verses are for the first time translated into the Russian language.
   The moderator was Director-General of the National library of the RK, the Winner of the State prize, the honored worker of the RK, writer Alibek Askar.
   There at the activity spoke: Kairat Kelimbetov, Georgiy Pryakhin, Sultan Sartayev, Dulat Isabekov, Smagul Elubayev, Svetlana Ananyeva, Bakytzhan Kanapyanov, Shomishbai Sariyev, Maraltai Ybrayev, Kairat Bakbergenov.
   There within the framework of the activity the new editions were presented to the authors whose works entered the anthology or their successors, the libraries of Almaty city and mass-media representatives.
   There in the activity participated: the director of the publishing house “Khudozhestvennaya literatura” academician Georgiy Pryakhin, the state and public figures Kairat Kelimbetov, Sultan Sartayev, Amanzhol Koshanov, deputy chairman of the Writers’ union of Kazakhstan Maraltai Ybrayev, the poets and writers: Beksultan Nurzheke, Sherubai Kurmanbaiuly, Ualikhan Kalizhanov, Dulat Isabekov, Smagul Elubayev, Raikhan Mazhenkyzy and many other representatives of the intelligentsia.
