There in the reading-hall of the Department of periodical editions is organized the exhibition “Azat eldyn Ata zany” dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

   The present Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted on August 30, 1995 at the all-national referendum and this day is a state holiday. During the time which has elapsed from the moment of adoption of the present Constitution, amendments and supplements into it were introduced three times: in 1998, 2007 and 2011.
   Altogether there are 9 divisions and 98 articles in the Constitution. According to the Constitution the Republic of Kazakhstan declares itself as being a democratic, secular and legal state. The highest values of the state are man, his life, rights and freedom.  The Republic of Kazakhstan is a unitary state with the presidential form of rule.
   The purpose of the exhibition is to get the readers acquainted with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is the main law for our country and all the people who live in it.
   There at the exhibition are presented the materials from the periodical editions, reflecting the history of creation and introduction of amendments into the present Constitution of Kazakhstan.
