There in the reading-hall of the Arts’department within the framework of the Month of culture dedicated to the Day of workers of culture and art of the Republic of Kazakhstan is organized the book exhibition “Oner-omir shezhiresy”.

   The Day of workers of culture and art of the Republic of Kazakhstan was established by the Decree of President N.Nazarbayev in 2911 and was celebrated annually on the last Sunday of September. But in 2013 it was decided to tansfer it onto May 21.
   They call those workers of culture professionals of their business occupied in the sphere of culture and art whose activity is connected with the preservation, development, widespreading and use of cultural values and acquaintance citizens with them. This is the professional holiday for the workers of theatres, philharmonic societies, orchestras, circuses, studios, schools, workshops, performing collectives, museums, libraries, artsitic salons and galleries, cinemas and cinema apparata, cultural-leasure organizations, research and restoration centres, cultural-historical centres, historical-cultural and natural reserves, zones and other organizations of culture.
   Such a professional holiday as the Day of workers of culture and art of the Republic of Kazakhstan was needed by all means by Kazakhstan, because it made it possible to underline that important role which the workers of the given sphere play in the life of modern Kazakhstani society: without the workers of culture and art it would have been impossible to organize that multiple cultural-mass activities which are carried out in different cities of Kazakhstan.
   The celebration of the Day of workers of culture and art of the Republic of Kazakhstan is carried out solemnly and with grandeur. During this day there are organized concerts, carried out thematic meetings. The workers of culture and art of the Republic of Kazakhstan accept on this day greetings from the minister of culture and also from the prominent figures of national culture. This day unites all the representatives of creative professions, figures of art.
   The development of the sphere of culture provides a reliable link between the generations and peoples, the spiritual formation of the personality and his moral basics, the continuity in the cause of upbringing of the younger generation upon lobe to their native country and the people.

   There at the exhibition is presented the literature about fine art, theatre, cinema and culture of Kazakhstan from the fond of the National library of the RK.
