There from October 12 to 16, 2015 at the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the School of conservation and restoration of written documents was held an international practical workshop in the restoration of Oriental books with the participation of the specialist from the Russian state library (Moscow city) Lokotkova I.G.
   The purpose of the workshop held was the acquisition of practical skills in the restoration and binding of Oriental manuscripts and rare books, the heightening of professional qualification of the restorers. The workshop was directed at mastering modern technologies for the inculcation into the activity of the republican establishments of culture. There in the workshop participated the specialists from the regional libraries, museums and archives of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
   There were awarded certificates to the participants of the workshop.
