Dear colleagues! The school of cataloguers at the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces the recruitment of listeners to the short courses of qualification upgrading.
The course of lectures and practical studies are designed for the specialists of the libraries of the system of the Ministry of culture and sport of the RK, the libraries of colleges and universities, archives, museums, publishing houses and other organizations dealing with machine-readable cataloguing.
The main purpose is to acquaint readers with the main rulers and principles of cataloguing of the concrete kinds of documents – books, scores, cartographic, depictive materials and other ones, including electronic resourses.
The readers will become acquainted with the main international and national documents regulating the rules of compilation of bibliographical and authority records.
The studies are designed for the specialist cataloguers with work experience as well as for beginners.
The practical studies are carried out in “The cataloguer” module of the new republican automated library-informational system Web-RAВIS elaborated by the National library of
the RK.
The studies are carried out by the leading specialists of the Service of informational resources and the Service of national bibliography of the National library of the RK.
Studying at the School of cataloguers is charge-free.
Business-trip expenses are to be paid by the sending party.
