On February 23, 2016 at 15:00 hours there in the Exhibitions’ hall took place the presentation of the scientific-publicistic book of the Turkic study specialist, historian, linguist and art expert Maksat Baily “The Iliyad through the eyes of the Turkic-study expert”.
The organizers: National library of the RK, International society “Kazak tily” (“The Kazakh language”).
The main theme of the proposed monograph is to give the comparative-historical analysis of the well-known work by Homer “The Iliyad” from the point of view of Turkic studies.
The author on concrete examples of Kazakh folklore and poems and also the eposes of the Turkic peoples gives concrete answers to many questions put forward by the foreign scientists who studied “The Iliyad”.
No doubt the book will contribute into the study of the eposes on the basis of multiple documents and it is a big news for readers.
The activity was opened by Deputy Director-General of the National library of the RK B.K.Ospanova.
The moderator was doctor of science (philology), professor Erden Kazhybek.
There spoke: U.Aitbai, T.Mamashev, M.Moldakhov, D.Yskak, M.Salimgereyev, K.Kozhakhmetov and others.
