On June 12 at 14-00 hours there in the hall of world literature took place the meeting of Kazakhstani readers and librarians with the world-known foreign writers and was given the start of International action “Read a book to me” within the framework of International literary biennale.

   The meeting was opened by deputy director of National library of the RK Yussupova A.Kh.
   The moderator of the meeting was Ananyeva S.V. – head of department at the institute of literature after M.Auezov of the Ministry of education and science of the RK.
   There with the word of greeting spoke: director of Department of public information of UNO, head of Informational bureau of UNO in Kazakhstan Mr.Vlastimil Samek, gead of department of communication and information of the UNESCO Cluster bureau in Almaty city Karpov S.A.
   There at the meeting spoke: Avdullayev Chingiz Ali ogly (Azerbaijan) – poet, honored figure of arts of the Azerbaijan Republic, Allanazarov A. (Turkmenia) – writer, Kozlov Yu.V. (Russia) – writer, chief editor of “Roman-gazeta”, Ogryzko V.V. – literary worker, critic, chief editor of the newspaper “Literaturnaya Rossiya”, Lee Gil Wong (South Korea) – poet, president of Korean centre of International Pen-club, Ryskulov A.R. (Kirghizia) – people’s poet, chairman of National writers’ Union of the Kyrghyz Republic, Dave Bharduazh – director of Intercontinental cultural association of India, editor of literary magazine “Kafla intercontinental”, Safaryan A.V. – professor, head of chair of Turkology of the Yerevan state university, Aliaskar Mirbagerifard Seyid (Iran) – director of the Persian literary centre. Erkin Azam (Uzbekistan) – writer, publicist, cinema dramaturgist. The Russian poet  and journalist Minnullin R.M. presented his books in the Tatar language. There into the fond of the library the writers donated the books in the English, Russian, Tatar, Korean, Armenian, Kazakh languages. There at the evening were read the verses of the authors in Korean, Turkmen, Kirghiz, Persian and representative of India Mr. Dave Bharduazh sang a song in Hindi, thus envigorating the atmosphere of the meeting. The evening passed very interestingly.
   The participants of the evening: representatives of the regional, city and higher educational establishments’ libraries, readers, Kazakhstani writers, mass-media.
