The National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan carries out the presentation of the book by N.A.Anastasyev “Mukhtar Auezov” from the series “The life of prominent people”.

  The well-known writer and investigator of foreign literary classics Nikolai Arkadyevich Anastasyev there on the basis of the literary and humanitarian-scientific heritage, extensive archive documents, letters of the great M.O.Auezov, the previously unknown testimonies of the contemporaries created anew the all-encompassing portrait of the classic of Kazakh literature.

  The publication of the given book of 5000 copies carried out by the “Molodaya Gvardiya” Russian publishing house became possible thanks to the initiative and support of “Atamura” corporation.

   A brief information about the author – N.A.Anastayev, doctor of science (philology), professor of the Moscow State University after M.Lomonosov, the chief editor of “Kultura” publishing house. The works of this well-known literary specialist and critic are devoted to large phenomena in the literature of the USA, Europe, Russia. The works of the author were published in the USA, Germany, Japan.  N.A.Anastayev is the author of more than 20 monographs and multiple articles. The most considerable among them are: “The phenomenon of Nabokov”, “The creative activity of Ernest Hemingway”, “Faulkner”, “The owner of Ioknapatof”, “The sky in the calyx of the flower. Abdizhamil Nurpeisov and his books in the world literary scenery” and others.

   There in the book highlighted at the presentation are reflected the most intricate relations of the writer and the power in all their tragic contradictions. The problem of “artist versus power” existed at all times but in the XX-th century  it acquired the dramatic poignancy. Of especial value is the fact that the author re-creates the creative biography of M.O.Auezov within the context of the life and activity of the Alash-Orda members, the cream of the Kazakh intelligentsia – A.Baitursynov, M.Dulatov, Zh.Aimautov and others.

   There in the National library is opened a big and content-rich book-illustrative exhibition dedicated to the creative activity of Abai, M.O.Auezov and N.A.Anastasyev.

   There in the presentation participate N.A.Anastasyev, the prominent Russian poet and literary critic E.Yu.Sidorov, M.M.Auezov, the creative intelligentsia of the city, readers and workers of the library.
