On May 15, 2018 there at the cinema club of Ermek Tursynov took place the evening of memory dedicated to the centenary of the people’s artiste of Kazakhstan Kuddus Kozhamyarov.

   The activity was held within the framework of the Club “Inzhu-Marzhan” which is in the Arts department of the National library of the RK.
   Kozhamyarov Kuddus (1918-1994) was born in the village of Kainazar, today it’s the Enbekshikazak district of the Almaty region. The Uigur composer, the people’s artiste of the USSR. In 1951 he graduated from the Almaty conservatoire by the class of E.G.Brusilovskiy, in 1951-52 he studied at the Moscow conservatoire. In 1955-59 – chairman of the Union of composers of the Kazakh SSR.  The founder of the Uigur composer music. The author of the operas “Nazugum” (1956), “Golden mountains” (together with Tlendiyev, 1960),“Sadyr-Palvan” (1975), “Chin-Tomur” (1969), the oratorio “Bloom, my Semirechye” (1970), The vocal-symphonic poem “The legend about dutar” (1984), the 5 symphonies (1971-87), the symphonical poems, the concerts with orchestra (including for the flute and the hobo, 1986; for the voice, 1968) and other works. He taught at the Almaty conservatoire (from 1968 – head of the chair of composition), in 1957-67 – the rector.
   Awarded with the orders of Lenin, Labor Red Banner, October revolution, Badge of Honour.
   There within the framework of the activity was organized the book-illustrative exhibition “Uigurdyn tungysh kompozitory” about the life and creative activity of K.Kozhamyarov.
   There in the evening participated the well-known figures of culture Akhmetzhan Kadirov, professor Pernebek Momynuly, writer Akhmetzhan Ashiri, the actress of the UIgur theatre after K.Kozhamyarov Ablizova Turdibuvi, the ensembles “Dostluk”, “Rukhsara” and others.
