The delegation of the National library of the RK headed by Director-General O.I.Isakhov consisting of the Chief Scientific Secretary Ismailov E.I., Head of the Readers Servicing Department Kanakhina S.T., Chief Librarian of the Readers Servicing Department Zhiyenova R.T., Head of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Department Askarbekova N.M., Head of the Cultural Programmes Centre Khalykova G.K., Head of the Documents’ Scientific Conservation and Restoration Centre Sarsenbayeva B. visited Tehran city on October 1-4, 2007 by the invitation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Iran E.Myltykbayev.

    The purpose of the visit was the work for the preparation of the Memorandum in the sphere of humanitarian cooperation of the member-countries of the Caspian region (timed for the visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev). There during the work meeting took place negotiations on the further cooperation between the NLRK and the NL IRI, the meeting with the president of the NL IRI Mr. Ashari and other specialists of the given library. There was reached an agreement on the prolongation of the Agreement between the two libraries. There in connection with the opening of the Cabinet after Abai in the NL IRI timed for the visit of the President of the RK N.A.Nazarbayev is planned the formation of the fond of the given cabinet. During the visit to the Tehran library and the library of Ali-Reza Mosque the workers of the NLRK became acquainted with the work experience in restoration technologies and preservation of the manuscript heritage.
