24.06.2008  The National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Writers Union of Kazakhstan held the presentation of the book “The Russians of Kazakhstan”.

     The compiler of the book is the Chairperson of the Council on Russian literature of the Writers Union of Kazakhstan Lyubov Shashkova.

     The author of the project is the Chairman of the “Svetoch” Society and the World coordination council of Russian compatriots Alexei Lobanov.

    There within the framework of the presentation was organized the book-illustrative exhibition “Pushkin’s road in Kazakhstan” from the fonds of the National library.

      There in the presentation of the book “The Russians of Kazakhstan” participated the Consul of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chairman of the Board of the Writers Union of the RK, representatives of the Holy Vladimir Charity Foundation, mass-media, the workers of the libraries, the readers of the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the residents and guests of Almaty city.
