10.12.2008 The National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Architects’ Union of Kazakhstan held the presentation of two scientific works:
- The book “Almaty: the ancient, medieval, colonial and Soviet stages of urbanization” (the author B.Tuyakbayeva, the peer-reviewers: academician of the National academy of sciences of the RK S.Kaskabasov, academician of the International academy of architecture of Oriental countries B.Kusmangaliyev).
- The scientific-documentary film “Yassy – the spiritual center of Turkestan” (the author of the script and host’s text: B.Tuyakbayeva, A.Proskurin, director A.Suleyeva, producer, the author of the idea for the creation of the film I.Iskakov).
The works are dedicated to the history of formation of two cult-administrative centers of Kazakhstan having the all-national significance: the city of Almaty, the roots of which go back to the appearance here at the foot of the Tien-Shan mountains of the ancient sacral center of the Arian ethnic-cultural formation and the city of Turkerstan – the first capital of the Kazakh khanate whose formation is also closely linked with the theological points of view of the nomadic tribes of the Central Asia who became adapted in the Sufi trend of Islam. |
