The National library of the RK and the Library of Congress (USA) concluded the Agreement on cooperation and development of the World Digital Library, which provides free access in the Internet in the multi-lingual format to the great quantity of materials that represent cultures of different countries of the world.

The main goals of the World Digital Library:

• The assistance to the international and intercultural mutual understanding.
• The increase of volume and variety of cultural content in the Internet.
• The provision of resources for teachers, scientists and all interested people.
• The increase of possibilities among partner institutions for the decrease of digital divide inside the country and between countries.
