On October 24 – 31 the Head of the multimedia department of the NL Zh.N.Alimkulova participated in the Days of culture of Kazakhstan in Saudi Arabia.
    The delegation from Kazakhstan was headed by the executive secretary of the Ministry of culture and information of the RK Zh.D.Kurmangaliyeva. There into the delegation were included the representatives of the Ministry of culture of the RK, the Presidential cultural centre of the RK, the State art museum after A.Kasteyev, the National library of the RK and also the Kazakh state folklore-ethnographical orchestra “Otrar sazy” after N.Tlendiyev, the soloists of the leading theatres of Astana and Almaty.
    The programme of the Days of culture included the organization of a concert, an exhibition of books articles of applied and fine arts.
    The National library of the RK presented a book exhibition in the English language “Kazakhstan: the history and modern times”, which discloses the history, culture, the animal and vegetable world of the republic.
    The solemn opening of the Days of culture took place in the capital city of Er-Riad where there was noted the necessity of strengthening the dialogue between our states and developing cooperation in the sphere of culture. The Days of culture continued in the city of Jidda with the visits to Mecca and Medina.
