The National library of the RK carried out “The Eurasian readings” dedicated to the memory of Tchingiz Aitmatov by the initiative and with the support of the Confederation of creative unions of the RK, “SaGa” Publishing House, the International foundation after Tchingiz Aitmatov and the Public foundation after Kuandyk Shangitbayev.

There within the framework of the Readings the National library of the RK presented the book-illustrative exhibition “Aitmatov alemi” (“The world of Aitmatov”). The National library of the Kyrgyz Republic amicably provided the exhibits from its fonds.

There are within the programme of “The Eurasian readings”: “The word about Aitmatov”,”The true glimpses of Eurasianism” (reports),’The Eurasian literature today’ (a free discussion). There in the Readings participated the prominent writers, poets, public figures of culture from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan: Timur Zulfikarov (Russia), Yuri Orlitskiy (Russia), Sanzhar Aitmatov (Kyrgyzstan), Gerold Belger, Mukhtar Shakhanov, Anatoliy Kim, Akim Tarazi, Murat Auezov and others.
