On December 7 – 17, 2009 with the support of “The Foundation for the development of culture of Kazakhstan” Joint-Stock Company the Committee of culture of the Ministry of culture and information of the RK organized in the State educational establishment named “The regional innovational centre” of the Omsk region the brief ten-day course of qualification upgrading by the theme: “The marketing and PR technologies in librarianship: the modern state and the prospects”, in which there participated the worker of the National library of the RK, chief librarian of the Centre for libraries’ development Bekturbekova F.K.

At the qualification upgrading courses there participated 10 library workers from Kazakhstan, and also librarians from the districts of the Omsk region.

At the 10-day courses they listened to the following lectures:

“Marketing and PR-technologies in librarianship”, ”The marketing researches in librarianship”, ”The proclivity of the marketing and PR-technologies for the perfection of library servicing”, ”The psychological aspects of the implementation of the PR-activity of the library”, ”The library advertising: the technological and psychological aspects”. There was organized an excursion around the biggest libraries of Omsk city.

After the completion of the course there were handed in to the students the Certificate of the State educational establishment of the Omsk “Regional innovation centre” of the Russian Federation.
