There in the Centre of cultural programmes of the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take place the opening of the personal book-illustrative exhibition “S.Sanbayev is 70 years old” and the literary-creative conference “The traits of the classic” dedicated to the creative activity of the prosaic, playwright, publicist, translator, public figure and cinema actor Satimzhan Kamziyevich Sanbayev.

The National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan presents the personal book-illustrative exhibition “S.Sanbayev is 70 years old” dedicated to the creative activity and the 70-th jubilee of the prominent Kazakh writer and public figure S.K.Sanbayev.There at the exhibition are exhibited more than 100 books, articles and photographs from the fond of the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the private family archive of the writer.The materials presented at the exhibition reflect the substantial creative activity of the multifaceted personality of the prosaic, playwright, publicist, translator, public figure and cinema actor Satimzhan Kamziyevich Sanbayev.

There at the exhibition one can meet the first short novels by S.Sanbayev “And the eternal fight”, “The white she-camel” published in the 60-s in the “Prostor” magazine and warmly welcome by the readers, they became the real event in the literary life of Kazakhstan and were highly acclaimed by the world literary community.

There were widely presented the short novels of S.Sanbayev “The wells of the sultry valleys”, the novels “Another summer”, “There have never been such rains here before”, “The leaf gliding on the snow”, “When the spring comes we’ll be enthralled by the voice”. The works translated into other languages and published in more than thirty countries of the world, are also present at the exhibition. Here also one can meet the novel consisting of two books “The copper colossus” the presentation of which took place in the National library of the RK in November, 2006. 

There in the work of the literary-creative conference “The traits of the classic” dedicated to the creative activity of S.Sanbayev, will participate the public figures of culture, literature and art of Kazakhstan D.Isabekov, K.Iskakov, M.Auezov, N.Orazalin, U.Esdaulet, the readers and workers of the library, the friends and relatives of the writer. The host-moderator is doctor of science (philology) A.Zhaksylykov.
