- The provision of operative and quality-level processing of new acquisitions and the formation

of the electronic catalogues of the NLRK;

- The current bibliographing and the maintenance of the current bibliographical data-bases;

the bibliographical data-base “Kazakhstan: the past & the present”;

- the participation in the formation of the Joint electronic data-bank about Kazakhstan and the support

 of the activity of the Kazakhstani centre of corporate cataloguing (KCCC);

- the establishment of cooperation in the exchange of the informational resources with the world

library community.

 

 

- the library processing of new acquisitions;

- the analytical-synthetic processing of the documents;

- the organization, maintenance and editing of the electronic catalogue;

- the management of the technological processes of cataloguing;

- the review, selection and analytical description of the sources;

- the organization, maintenance and editing of the bibliographical data-base;

- the publication of the current bibliographical index “The new literature about Kazakhstan” in the Kazakh & Russian languages;

- the lending of records from the informational-bibliographical centre “Libnet” (the Russian Federation);

- the study of the technology of maintenance of the authority files for the formation of the national authority records for names;

- the regular replenishment of the electronic catalogue and the data-base of the KCCC at the site of the National library with new bibliographical records;

- the monthly reserve copying of all the data-bases of the NLRK;

- the participation in the programmes and projects along the trends of activity of the Centre;

- the technical administration of the data-bases.

- the unit for the administration of the data-bases and data-banks of the NLRK;

- the unit for the Kazakhstani centre of corporate cataloguing;

- the sector of current bibliography.
